Week one - Dinners in our new city

Our first traditional Japanese meal since we arrived.

This is Dave's co-worker Horiike-san and his wife Mickey, they have lived in both NYC and London so they speak great english. Very, very nice people! It is nice to go to dinner with people who are native japanese speakers because for the most part Dave and I cannot read the menus, so they did the ordering for us.

Later that night we decided to go search for some new friends in Roppongi, the big expat party area. Behind me is the Tokyo Tower, a larger, red replica of the Eiffel Tower.

At a lounge that apparently Dice-K frequents when in Tokyo. With us are three of Dave's co-workers, from left to right: Tanaka-san, Eli (from Florida) and Asada-san
